Peso's Kitchen and Lounge (Lower Queen Anne)

Peso's Kitchen and Lounge is a spanish restaurant in Lower Queen Anne. They have great happy hour and really good chips and salsa. I had the Grilled Carne Asada enchiladas with the Roasted Tomatillo Sauce. The enchilada was made from masa corn tortillas = gluten free!

Evaluation: Good

- There were lots of gluten free options on the menu.
- The atmosphere was not that great. I was seated right near the front door where there was a cold draft after anyone walked in or out.
- The dinner menu price is expensive. I think it is only worth it if you got for happy hour.

The Honey Hole (Capitol Hill)

The Honey Hole has changed my life! Today I had "The Dude" on a gluten free baguette made by Olivia Superfree and it was amazing. Sandwiches haven't been the same since I had to go gluten free. I have found myself struggling to find good sandwich bread at different restaurants, sometimes I just give up and go bun-less on my burgers or settle for the lettuce wrap which inevitably falls apart. But today, I had a sandwich on gluten free bread and it was perfect! The baguette was soft and fresh, held together perfectly, absorbed the flavor and juices from the meat, and best of all it was crunchy like a real baguette should be!

Thank you Honey Hole - you have made sandwich eating fun again!

For all my gluten free friends (and non- gluten free friends), I would recommend THE HONEY HOLE!

Evaluation: Excellent!

 - great gluten free baguette!
- excellent flavor and texture
- fairly priced

Note: this is the first Excellent rating I have given any restaurant (so far).

I hope you try it out and let me know what you think!
